Who we are ?

The Beamish OddSox Mountain Bike Club is a not for profit members only off road cycling club for promotion of mountain biking activities in the north east of England.  The club is operated for the benefit of the club members by an elected committee headed by the committee chair. The current committee members are detailed on the Club page of our website (www.beamishoddsox.co.uk) and can be contacted via email at the following address; committee@beamishoddsox.co.uk. 


Contact requests

When visitors make a contact request our website initiates a request via your own email client that you send an email to committee@beamishoddsox.co.uk with details of the information you require.  All members of the committee will receive a copy of any content that you choose to provide and you accept that the committee is free to share that information unless you expressly state that they cannot.

 

Subscriber requests
When visitors make a request to Subscribe, a subscriber form is presented requesting the following information from you;

  • User Name

  • First Name (this is the name we will address you by)

  • Last Name (this is the name we will address you by)

  • Email address (this is the address we will send correspondence to)

 

We request that you provide consent to allow the Beamish OddSox Mountain Bike Club to send you subscriber emails that contain information about the club, its activities and planned events. This information is managed and stored securely on behalf of the club by MailChimp using forms that request you to consent to a General Data Protection Regulation compliance statement.  Your details will not be shared by us or MailChimp with third parties unless you consent for us to do so.  Further details relating to the privacy of your data and how it it managed can be found on the MailChimp website here; www.mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/

Subscribers can expect to receive;

  • Once a week a ride update

  • Once a quarter a ride programme

 

You may update your preferences or unsubscribe from our emails at anytime by following the update my preferences or unsubscribe links at the bottom of the email. Alternatively you can request that we change them for you via our contact button on the website.  Changes to your email preferences may take up to 30 days to be effective.

Join requests

If you should request to become a member of the club we will request the following information;

  • Name

  • Date of birth (required to meet the minimum requirements of membership, applicants should be over 18yrs of age)

  • Address

  • Phone

  • Mobile Phone

  • Email

In the event that you select membership options that result in the membership of Cycling UK then you consent to the club providing your details to Cycling UK to allow a membership to be processed.  More details about Cycling UK and their privacy statement can be found on their website www.cyclinguk.org.
